The Ladies Ministry of Huisache Avenue Baptist Church exists to help women grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, develop meaningful Christian friendships, and faithfully serve the Lord through every season of life.
Whether you are a young woman, a wife and mother, raising children, caring for family, working outside the home, or entering a new stage of life, you are welcome here.
Through Bible study, fellowship, prayer, discipleship, and opportunities to serve, our desire is to help women become stronger in the Lord and an encouragement to others.
Our Purpose
God has given women an important place of influence within the home, the church, and the lives of others.
Our desire is to help ladies:
Know and understand the Word of God
Develop a consistent personal walk with Christ
Grow in wisdom, faith, and godly character
Strengthen their marriages and families
Build meaningful friendships with other Christian women
Encourage younger women and learn from older women
Serve faithfully in the local church
Reach other women with the love and truth of Christ

Ladies Bible Study
Our ladies’ Bible studies provide an opportunity to slow down, open the Scriptures, and grow alongside other women.
Studies may focus on subjects such as:
Developing a closer walk with God
Prayer and personal Bible study
Godly womanhood
Marriage and family relationships
Contentment and emotional strength
Faith during difficult seasons
Wisdom and biblical decision-making
Encouraging and discipling others
Each study is intended to be biblical, practical, and useful in everyday life.
Christian Fellowship
Women need more than friendly conversation. They need friendships that provide prayer, encouragement, honesty, and spiritual strength.
Throughout the year, ladies may gather for:
Bible studies
Prayer meetings
Ladies’ fellowships
Special meals and seasonal events
Conferences and retreats
Service projects
Bridal and baby showers
Ministry activities
Informal times of encouragement
These gatherings help women become better connected to the church family and provide opportunities to build lasting relationships.
Encouraging Women Through Every Season
Every season of life brings different joys, responsibilities, and struggles.
Our desire is for younger women to receive godly instruction and encouragement, while mature Christian women continue using their experience and wisdom to strengthen others.
No woman needs to feel that she must have everything figured out before becoming involved. The church should be a place where women can learn, grow, serve, and encourage one another.
Opportunities to Serve
The ladies of HABC play an important role in the life and ministry of our church.
Women serve through areas such as:
Nursery and children’s ministries
Master Clubs
Youth ministry
Music
Hospitality and meals
Church decorating and special events
Outreach and missions
Prayer and encouragement
Administrative assistance
Helping families during times of need
Every woman has different abilities and availability, but there is a meaningful place for each one to serve.
