Men’s Ministry

Becoming Men Who Know God, Lead Well, and Stand Firm

God has called men to live with conviction, courage, humility, and faithfulness.

The Men’s Ministry of Huisache Avenue Baptist Church exists to help men grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, become stronger spiritual leaders, build meaningful Christian friendships, and faithfully serve the Lord in their homes, church, work, and community.

Whether you are a young man beginning your adult life, raising a family, entering a new season, or seeking to rebuild your walk with God, we want to help you move forward.

Our Purpose

Biblical leadership is not about demanding control or receiving recognition. It begins with following Jesus Christ and accepting responsibility for the people and opportunities God has entrusted to us.

We desire to help men:

  • Develop a consistent walk with God

  • Understand and apply the Bible

  • Lead their families with love and conviction

  • Become faithful husbands and fathers

  • Build strong friendships with other Christian men

  • Resist temptation and live with integrity

  • Serve faithfully in the local church

  • Influence others for Jesus Christ

Men’s Prayer Meetings

Prayer is one of the greatest responsibilities and privileges God has given Christian men.

Our men’s prayer meetings provide opportunities to gather together, seek the Lord, pray for our families, strengthen one another, and bring the needs of our church and community before God.

These meetings are not reserved for men who feel confident praying aloud. Every man is welcome to attend, listen, learn, and participate at his own comfort level.

Bible Teaching and Discipleship

Men face real pressures involving marriage, parenting, work, finances, temptation, responsibility, and spiritual leadership.

Through preaching, Bible studies, personal discipleship, and recommended resources, we seek to give men clear biblical direction for these areas of life.

Our goal is not merely to produce men who know more about the Bible, but men who obey it and allow it to shape their decisions, relationships, priorities, and character.

Christian Brotherhood

Men often carry responsibilities and struggles without discussing them with anyone.

The local church gives men the opportunity to form honest, healthy friendships with others who will pray for them, encourage them, challenge them, and help them remain faithful.

Through prayer meetings, fellowships, service projects, retreats, and everyday church life, men can develop relationships that go beyond casual conversation.

“Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.”
Proverbs 27:17

Men’s Retreat

Our annual men’s retreat provides focused time away from everyday responsibilities to hear biblical preaching, seek the Lord, enjoy fellowship, and return home spiritually strengthened.
